This exhibition will be the Figge's first online exhibition and will feature photographs of QC Pridefest, an event promoting awareness and visibility of the LGBTQ+ community in the Quad Cities. Delving into the history of Pride, the exhibition will explore ideals of self-expression and individuality, and the effect that Pride has had public perception. The suite of photographs was taken by photojournalist Andy Abeyta for the Quad-City Times in 2019. He is invested in documenting and sharing the stories of others through photography and now works for the The Gazette in Cedar Rapids.
