José Carlos Diaz is the Chief Curator at The Andy Warhol Museum. At The Warhol he has curated Farhad Moshiri: Go West; Andy Warhol: Revelation; Fantasy America; and Becoming Andy Warhol at the Ullens Center for Contemporary Art in China. Prior to this Diaz was the Curator of Exhibitions at The Bass in Miami Beach and has worked at Tate Liverpool and the Liverpool Biennial. Diaz received a MA in Cultural History from the University of Liverpool, and a BA in Art History from San Francisco State University. Diaz serves on the Board of Trustees for the Association of Art Museum Curators (AAMC); chaired the Curatorial Leadership Summit at The Armory Show in 2020; and was a 2018 fellow at the Center for Curatorial Leadership (CCL).
