What is included with my rental?

Do I have to be a member of the Figge Art Museum to hold my wedding or reception at your venue?
Yes, we do require membership. All our wedding packages include a one-year membership to the Figge for you and your soon-to-be spouse. If you’re not local, you may choose to gift the membership to someone in your party.
What is the maximum capacity for wedding receptions at the Figge Art Museum?
Our Grand Lobby can comfortably accommodate no more than 200 of your closest friends and family, including you and your wedding party. This provides comfortable space for guest flow, service flow, a dance floor, DJ table or band, cake/dessert table, welcome/gift/card table and sweetheart or head table. We will create a custom floor plan for you and your specific requests or needs.
Are there additional fees?
We value authenticity and transparency, so we’re upfront with costs and fees. Our service fee is 22% of your total event invoice, excluding your facility rental.
Is there onsite parking?
Yes, we have a parking lot with 36 spaces available, after 5pm. 18 spaces are available before 5pm. Other available parking includes free street parking, free parking in the lot across from the Figge Art Museum on River Drive, and paid parking in the surrounding parking ramps via the Park Mobile App.
What time can my event begin?
For evening events, your celebration can begin at 5:30 p.m. The museum is open to the public until 5:00 p.m., and we use the 30-minute window to secure the facility and ensure everything is perfect. Rest assured, the space will be completely ready before your event starts. We'll coordinate setup and vendor arrangements as your date approaches.
How late can we celebrate?
Your rental period is from 5:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Setup will occur earlier in the day, and tear down begins at 11:00 p.m. All hosts and vendors must vacate by 11:59 p.m. We offer the option to extend your hours, with end and tear down times adjusted accordingly
Do you have audio-visual equipment for Weddings?
We recommend hiring a professional wedding DJ or live music and an emcee for your wedding day. Professional Wedding DJs are experienced in the run-of-show for wedding ceremonies and receptions.
What are the catering options?
We know that couples value flexibility and choice, so we offer a flexible catering policy. We have a preferred list, but clients may choose any licensed and insured caterer with approval from the museum.
Do we need event insurance?
Yes, we do require event insurance and these terms are outlined in our contract. We can also guide you on how to obtain insurance so it's as convenient as possible for you.
Is a Venue Coordinator or Event Manager the same as a Wedding Planner?
No, while our staff and Certified Wedding Planner provide valuable guidance throughout the planning process, their responsibility is to ensure the seamless service of the venue on your wedding day. They are employed by the venue and operate within its business hours. For comprehensive planning and execution of your entire day, we recommend hiring an independent wedding planner who will work directly for you as a contractor. Independent planners can assist with all aspects of your wedding, including those outside of the venue, and often have more flexible hours.
