The Figge exhibits a wide variety of artworks, from old masters to cutting edge contemporary works. Some exhibitions are organized by Figge staff, while others travel to the Figge from other institutions. Many exhibitions, including the Rock Island Art Guild Exhibition and shows in the Mary Waterman Gildehaus Community Gallery, feature regional contemporary artists. The curatorial staff reviews works and plans exhibitions on an ongoing basis, with the exhibition schedule set at least two years in advance.
