LOCATION: Virtual
Join art historian Joy Sperling and artist Jane Gilmor virtually as they discuss Gilmor’s career and how her work “bounces off” the world around her. They will discuss current events and the opportunities for dialogue, exploration, and connection, that thrive in Gilmor’s artwork. Joy Sperling is Professor Emerita at Denison University in Ohio, and literally wrote the book on Gilmor’s work (Jane Gilmor: I’ll be back for the cat, 2012). Jane Gilmor is known for her extensive body of work engaging with social and cultural issues, and has exhibited throughout the U.S. and abroad for the decades. Jane Gilmor: Breakfast on Pluto is currently on display in the Figge’s Katz Gallery.
