- 11:30 am – Auditorium – Documentary: “Myrlande Constant: Staging the Invisible” (2023) directed by Natacha Giafferi-Dombre. Filmed in the artist’s atelier and home in Haiti, the piece contextualizes the work and the cultural sphere from which it comes. The video offers a look into Constant’s labor-intensive process, set against the sounds of chickens and goats in the background, and a couple of her four children darting in and out of the camera’s view. The artist discusses her mother’s influence on her work as well — for instance, she learned beadwork working alongside her mother as she made wedding dresses in a Port-au-Prince factory. - From Hyperallergic
- 1 pm – Second Saturday Sketchbook Club with artist Laura Warner - Figge instructor Laura Warner leads free, 30-minute sketch exercises inspired by works of art from the Figge’s collection. (The Figge will provide Sketchbooks, pencils and erasers.) Sketchbook Club is recommended for families with children and individuals of all ages. Meet on the fourth floor.

- Art Making – inspired by the beautiful work of Myrlande Constant, guests will design and color their own mini-flags!
